Responsibilities

  • Design lighting systems and power distribution systems from service point to buildings in accordance with NEC and other life safety codes.
  • Strong background on conductors, conduits and ground sizing per NEC requirements.
  • Strong understanding of load calculations, demand factors, fault current and voltage drop calculations.
  • Review submittals and Contract Administration
  • Assist in the development of design solutions
  • Provide technical design support to engineering team
  • Prepare schematic designs, Construction Documents and specifications in compliance with project program and building design at the direction of the lead engineer
  • Coordinate designs with other disciplines, manufacturers and vendors
  • Perform field surveys and observations in concert with the lead engineer
  • Prepares technical evaluations and studies of electrical systems
  • Responsible for completeness and accuracy of construction documents and coordination with other disciplines

Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering
  • Ability to obtain Licensed Engineer. EIT preferred.
  • 2 years minimum work experience with 480V/3ph systems.
  • Medium voltage experience preferred, but not required.
  • Competency in Revit required
  • Experience preparing Arc Flash and Breaker Coordination Analysis
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam
