Responsibilities

The Payroll Coordinator is responsible to process salaried/hourly union and non-union payroll, input hours into the CMiC payroll system from timecards received from jobsites, record changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, insurance coverage, loan payments.   In addition, the Payroll Coordinator will:

  • Enter new hire information
  • Prepare union fringe benefit reports
  • Maintaining Files and Records
  • Prepare weekly payroll deposits
  • Handle court ordered deductions
  • Process unemployment verification
  • Calculate payoff information for union/non-union layoffs

 

Qualifications

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two or more years Payroll experience. 
  • Experience in a union and / or, construction industry environment is preferred. 
  • Some knowledge /experience with interpreting economic provisions of collective bargaining agreements preferred.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel).
  • Able to do significant data entry.
  • Team player with a positive attitude, who is able to multitask
  • Able to maintain confidential information.
  • Accurate typing and data entry skills with good time management skills  and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work multiple tasks in a fast paced environment, team player with strong customer service skills and problem resolution skills
