Walbridge is seeking a Marketing Communications professional to lead strategic communications support for a confidential client – including event coordination, project management, and internal, external and executive engagements.

  • Work with the client team members and leadership to understand potential upcoming change impacts and develop communications strategies to stay ahead of the change
  • Produces content for internal communications channels, as well as co-marketing activities including digital, print and video
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on engagement, impact, and performance of social media campaigns across various platforms/channels
  • Represents client on communications projects and interacts with senior internal and external personnel on initiatives requiring coordination between organizations
  • Develops, seeks and uses advanced techniques for internal and external communications and branding
  • Write fresh, engaging content with understanding of the different communities on each platform (listen, respond, ask questions)
  • Develop and implement strategic programs to support business objectives
  • Write, edit, and create a plethora of marketing materials both on and off line
  • Participate in creative brainstorms with the corporate team and office staff
  • Ability to attract and engage audience, and promote brand message
  • Contributes to strategic communications plans and branding strategies for client that support enterprise initiatives



  • Bachelor's (Business, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related degree) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience; a Master's degree and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in Corporate Communications or other similar communications (i.e. Organizational Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related)
  • Candidates should be detail-oriented, able to work on multiple projects simultaneously under frequent deadlines, and possess superior writing, editing and digital communications skills.
  • Strategic thinking, creativity, problem solving and knowledge of communications best practices are essential.
  • Strong writer who is a self-starter, with drive and inventiveness.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency in graphics software including Adobe Creative Suite and Acrobat
  • Requires excellent skills in planning and organizing, writing, proofreading and editing
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or with internal company or external team members
  • Ability to multi task and meet aggressive deadlines and remain detail oriented
  • Demonstrate ability to work effectively under high-pressure deadlines and with diverse personalities



  • Experience leading and managing projects
  • Experience writing in Associated Press (AP) style and creating communication plans
  • Experience in digital platforms, including using social media, to tell compelling and engaging stories
  • Experience within the AEC industry (Architecture, Engineering or Construction)
  • Strong deductive reasoning skills that allow the candidate to formulate innovative solutions
  • Willing to roll up one’s sleeves and get work done, even when it’s outside the scope of the job
  • Qualified candidates will be comfortable in a multi-tasking, high-energy environment. They will be creative and analytical problem solvers with a passion for clear, timely communications and excellent customer service
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, process-oriented and organized
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills a must, including the ability to interact with groups internally and externally, leadership, and on-site field team
  • Ability to approach problems logically & rationally
  • Action oriented and self-disciplined
