Lead a team of Cost Analysts overseeing multiple self-perform and CM projects.  Responsible for managing the maintenance of various budgeting, change order, cost tracking/analysis/reporting and invoicing processes.

  • Work with estimating to fully understand the As-Sold Estimate
  • Attend the Interactive Planning Session to assist in building the Baseline Schedule
  • Prepare the baseline project cash flow
  • Evaluate cost submittals from designers and contractors for revised conditions.
  • Review and analyze cost impacts associated with contract claims, incentives, and penalties  
  • Make recommendations for realigning project budgets and contingencies based on project scope changes, actual costs, and estimates to complete
  • Prepare, coordinate, and deliver project budget and cost presentations to internal management and to the client, as required
  • Supervise team of cost coordinators/analysts responsible for tracking costs and preparing reports
  • Conduct periodic training for your team
  • Serve as business partner to business unit General Managers and review audit, trend analysis of overheads, department budgets, cash flow, AR, business unit P and L, etc.


Must Haves:

  • 8+ years of experience in project cost controls, with at least 3 years in a management role 
  • Experience as a Project Controls Manager for large construction projects 
  • Experience with Rules of Credit and Earned Value Measurement Systems
  • Experience with directing, planning, and scheduling functions, including budget development, cost control management and analysis
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to successfully direct and motivate a team
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, and construction management in the construction industry 
  • Broad knowledge of Project Control Systems and processes
  • Comfortable working with all levels and functions in a constructive fashion to achieve organizational objectives
  • Experience with building cash flows for long duration construction projects
  • Basic to mid-level experience in both MS Project and Primavera P6
  • Experience in building and maintaining quantity based production curves
  • Extensive Excel ability (Pivot tables, VLookup, Visual Basic, etc.)
  • Ability to travel occasionally to other offices and job sites


Nice to Haves:

  • BS/MS in Construction Management 
  • Prior experience with both Sage 300 and CMiC Accounting software
  • Prior experience with Oracle Textura invoicing software
